be very cautious of "blogger-in-draft" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i spent ALLLLL day yest looking into and learning about "blogger-in-draft". of course i only learned about it yest thru nitecruzer, a blogger i follow who has massive help tips re: blogger :)  first of all, i can't believe i didn't blog at ALL yest :O wow!!! but i created one in the doc i made, which includes a long list of complaints from blogger ppl who have switched to blogger in draft. i was almost there. i had it open, all i had to do was click on "make blogger in draft your default" and i would have been open to a whole new beautiful world of EYE-CANDY"!!!!! but thankfully! i read a whole bunch of complaints re: pic uploader glitching to the 9's!! so! without further ado, i now post my doc; which includes yesterday's blog and the many comments i copied.......

Sounds Like Blogger in Draft is a HUGE Bummer!!!  4/28/10 - All Day :O
~wow, what about us "eye-candy" types? we have to miss out on beautiful new templates with endlesssss pretty possibilities, inCLUDING our OWN backgrounds :O the whole problem with the uploader just sounds like too much of a "glitch" to me, after reading over a hundred posts of unhappy customers. also! i read that you can't get back to regular blogger once you clicked on "make blogger-in-draft my default", scurrewwww thatttt..........and this coming from a gurl who is comPLETELY nuts for "computer graphic art", "eye-candy", whatever you like to call it. i watched the vid on "blogger-in-draft" and those tons of photos from I-stock are lookin yummmmy, lol.. howEVER, if i can't upload 1 single pic from MY computer, without trouble or having to join "Picassa", then unFORTUNATELY i canNOT, in good conscience, make the switch to "blogger-in-draft" :(   bummmmmmminnnnn..........

~as a side note, about my pics that i publish in my entries;
sometimes i DO notice that only SOME of my animated gifs are actually animated and move the way they are supposed to, while other ani-gifs just sit there... :O  wonder what's up with that??

ok, moving onto the "Blogger-in-draft" deal, starting with a positive comment.

"this image gallery is the best gallery on the net .. very useful, dynamic and impresive thanks.. keep improving please Blogger team"--

~wOw, nothing like reading posts that are reMINDING me of what i will be missing :(

Let us know what you think!

We apologize for the bit of a rocky release this feature had last week, and we’re still tidying up some remaining problems. (We’ve heard reports of the uploader not working in Safari, which our engineers are looking into.) If the photo uploader is not working for you, please let us know in the comments what browser, operating system, and version of Flash (if any) you’re using. Then, if you need to upload photos, use the editor on www.blogger.com. (You can switch to “Updated editor” in Settings > Basic and get most of the features from Blogger in draft, but the older photo uploader.)

After unchecking the make blogger in draft my default dashboard, try doing something else in Blogger - click somewhere. That's probably necessary for the change to take effect. Then close that browser window, open a new one, go to your blog, and login from there.

COMMENTS RE: GLITCHES IN BLOGGER-IN-DRAFT
PIC UPLOADER
:

I have Safari - Mac OS 10.4.11 And I can't get this new uploader to work. Had to go to the old blogger.com settings to download. Very frustrating!!!

Love the new photo uploader with captions feature. (I also like that you can add links to the photos)
However I am enabled to upload images from my computer, only from Picasa or Internet. I have tried both Safari and Firefox....

The only problem I've encountered so far is that I'm unable to caption once I've posted, so if I forget to I can't add it in on an edit :-(

If only it were easier to manipulate the photos in the blog to get them in the right place.

I want so much to enjoy these new features. Unfortunately, the uploading process is way too slow. Way too slow.

I could not get the loader to work in Safari. I was using the old editor and switched to the new one, did nothing still. I switched over to Firefox and everything worked fine. Im on OS X 10.5.8.

Not everyone uses Picassa! I upload mine from my computer but with this new photo uploaded I CANT! Why cant we still have the option of uploading from our computer instead of forcing us to use picassa or the web

Sorry guys, but it has given me problems so far; specially when I try to upload an image from my hard drive.

I have problem using the new photo uploader.. so slow, need to wait for all the photos to be uploaded.. and even after waiting, I cannot upload new photos.. I so much prefer the old photo uploader.. but I cant seem to get back the old photo uploader.. Its quite frustrating to upload photos now.. got to upload from photobucket, find it a waste of time and it take longer.. give me back my old photo editor.
But I like the template of the new blogger templates..

Why not using HTML5 "File API"?
It works great here:
http://hacks.mozilla.org/2009/12/multiple-file-input-in-firefox-3-6/

~no clue what the fuk THAT means, i see the "hack" word.....

I had a small glitch with the uploader. I uploaded many fotos in one batch. That worked like a charm. But then I just added one (I know I clicked it and it showed just one selected), but all the photos of the last upload got added.

I'm not sure why I can't upload my own images from my saved folders on my own hard drive the way we used to? Did I miss something? I don't want to have to DL any other storage program when I don't need it. Any work arounds?

ive spent several days trying to devise a way that would make uploading a lot of pictures easy. yet, before i stumbled into this, after days of research, i was successful with using dragdropupload addon and with an older version of firefox,

I'm very unahappy. All of a sudden I'm unable to upload photos from my computer without uploading them to picasa first.ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? this is a tremendous waste fo time. Can someone explain why this is happening....I preferred the old way!

What's going on here? My pictures will not load.

This really sucks. I will not spend the time to upload to picasa first and then to the blog. I will switch to wordpress.

~wow, ppl are pissssed..................

Ugh. How can I go back to the old way?! This just appeared on mine today and I don't want it! I like the old way of uploading straight to Blogger from my computer. BOOO!!!

Why is the "get photos from computer" option deleted? I have always loaded my pictures straight from my computers files and it has been working great untill now when the option is gone. I don´t like to chainge the mode to the old texteditor but now it seems the only way... though it didn´t work either...
Can I have that feature back?

I have switched to a new template, and I am no longer able to post photographs from my computer.

I am trying to post now and can no longer manually resize my photos by clicking on them and dragging the corner??? Is it just me? I have tried 2 different browsers on both my PC and Mac just to see if it was not some update there that messed this up and I can't 'activate' this feature. All I get is the small medium large... which are ridiculously uninformative about the size! With dragging the handles I could ensure that a photo was exactly the width of my blog because it told me the pixel dimensions. I hope this is a temporary glitch and that it will come back? pleeeeze!

This would be wonderful if I could actually upload pictures. Blogger has suddenly stopped allowing me to upload pictures saying that the google uploader isn't available

I noticed the same problem since yesterday in Draft Blogger.Seems like the new added feature to upload from Picasa's blogger album has replaced the more commonly used feature to upload pics from the computer. I canonly do it from regular blogger interface. Please fix. Hopesomeone from Blogger is monitoring these comments, since I know of no other way to report it.

COMPLAINTS RE: Blogger-In-Draft's Text Editor

Please please please work on the option for links to open up in a new tab or page! We want to keep readers on our blogs even if they are clicking on our links.

I've been waiting for captions! However, adding a caption to an image that has text wrapped around it causes the wrapping to vanish. So, can that be fixed? I'd use this feature a LOT, but many of my photos are word-wrapped for a reason, so I wouldn't use it unless captions don't mess with a photos positioning.

Why don't you validate and fix server-side scripts which blogger embeds in all blogs' templates by default.

my blog post title area has just dissapeared. I cant now add titles to posts or edit old titles

does blogspot have a spam comment blocker/feature? itll be really helpful. if anyone can tell me how to activate this blogger feature, i would appreciate. No, im not looking for the word verification feature, im looking for the spam blocker feature, like the wordpress plug-in.

I saw the caption thing & was really excited about it. I even used captions in one post. But now I try to use it again, & it's just not showing up! And I use Blogger In Draft. Please can someone tell me what's going on? I would appreciate a reply

And BlogSpot, you need to have a anti-spam blocker, other than word verification...

I've just started exploring Blogger-in-draft and I thought this would be a wonderful option. FINALLY captions for out photos!
But it's not there!!! I can't find it anywhere... :o(
And while I'm mentioning problems... whatever happened to the video uploader? The moment I switched to the new "post writer" the video uploader disappeared and I'm forced to go through YouTube.
Not happy!
Any solutions?

Oh, and I join in the complaint by a previous blogger about the fact that we can no longer re-size the photos by dragging the "corners"! The standard "small-medium-large" isn't good enough when you want to fit an image in exactly one spot (or you just want to put a really small one)
I love the caption feature for giving image credit, but I justify/wrap my text with images aligned on the left and right. It appears using caption forces the image to be center aligned. I hope this can be fixed.
And changing image size by dragging is EXTREMELY important.
